The martial arts have long been associated with developing strength, courage, and discipline. But behind the physical movements of punching and kicking lies an important aspect of character development that is often overlooked. Taekwon-Do, for example, is renowned for cultivating self-esteem, instilling courtesy, and enforcing discipline. It allows practitioners to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and grow into more confident, respectful, and resilient individuals.
Through Taekwon-Do training, practitioners can learn to better control their emotions, deal with stressful situations in a calm manner and remain focused on their goals despite any adversity they may face. The discipline of the art also helps them build self-discipline — an invaluable trait in everyday life.
Grand Master Peter Thibado, A-9-8, has a strong background in psychology and understands the importance of character development in martial arts training. He wrote a book about the influence of martial arts on life and hosted an International Instructional Course (IIC) as well as an International Umpire Course (IUC). As an original member of the ITF Do and Ethics Committee during its inaugural five years, he has a wealth of knowledge to share with attendees of his upcoming Do Seminar.
By attending this seminar, attendees have the chance to learn from Grand Master Peter Thibado’s expertise in connecting traditional teachings with modern psychological insights.
